Problem Resolved - "IDM extension has been removed"

Google Chrome Modified Extension for IDM


Hey Guys, finally you are at the right place!!! Today when you have opened your Chrome browser you may have received a notification stating that "IDM extension has been removed". Many advanced users may have tried to reinstall the extension but have got an error saying "Google has marked IDM extension as malicious and has prevented from installing".

 So we are here to solve your problem. You just have to download this modified IDM extension and install it in your Chrome. It  will work as before providing you all the features which IDM supports even YouTube download ;)

Here is step by step procedure:
  1. >>> Download Modified IDM Extension Here <<<
  2. In Google Chrome type in address bar -  chrome://extensions
  3. Just Drag and Drop your Downloaded IDM extension in Extensions Window.

     4. Confirm your installation by pressing Add.

      Yes IDM can very well download Youtube videos, just it needs to be integrated within the browser you are using.

    My IDM is built 6.17.6 and it is integrated with chrome.

      The latest update of IDM 6.17.6 is working fine with chrome, but still if you face any problem like "IDM extension has been removed" or anything as such then you can just download this modified version of IDM.

      Go settings>privacy? putt of the tick .Then "IDMGCExt.crx" take where you installed IDM and drop in extension menu (Google chrome)

    Service discontinued since the 17th of February 2014"

    If you are chrome user you can use some extension that can download media file on any website. Most recommend is using IDM Module (may be it’s name changed). Here is the fix link.

    Why can't IDM just sort this freaking issue out once and for all!! it's been happening for years and they can't be bothered to get a grip!! Do what you have to - talk to Google but fix the problem!!

    that process didnt work thn i used Saveform.net helper as extension!
    but chrome has disabled it every tym when i open chrome as it was not from chrome store!
    now what can i do?
